Borko's hobbies
I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Discus aquarium - an Amazon Blackwater biotope
After an accident I changed the Angelfish in my Amazon aquarium with Discus. They are F3 Cuipeau ? Curipera Discus.
Here they are in the first month in the aquarium:

After some time I decided to turn the root upside down in order to look more realistic.
Unfortunately it turned out that the fish fad parasites, so now I am curing them.

Goldfish pond
I have been planing for some time to build a small pond/watergarden at our villa.
Here is the basis of the pond filtration system:
I was allowed a just small part of the garden by my father.
So here I started:
A week later the hole was dug:
After another week the pipes for the filtration system was ready:
The next week I secured the walls and layered the bottom:
And covered it with underlayment and pond liner:
Then I fixed the bottom drain, skimmer and TPRs and painted them black.
I found river rocks and decorated the pond border and waterfall.
Some weeks later water was added, though the filtration system was not turned on. The result - pea soup water. I planted the first plants. But I still need to hide the liner.
With more plants and working filtration. Still some details need to be fixed.
August 2013 - It is close to finished:
